Wiper Update: As you may remember, the City stocked 50,000 Wipers (Hybrid species between a White Bass and Striped Bass) in the Lake July 8, 2020. As we have had Wipers in the Lake 2005 - 2012, we felt confident that the fish would take well to our fishery. The photos below show the Wiper at stocking (approximately 1 1/4"), several months later (approximately 3+") and last weekend (approximately 6"). In speaking with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, they believe the growth could be up to 12" by next April! The Wiper "keeper length" is 18 inches. We are looking forward to a great fishing season in 2021!

This week, the City started its latest park project - improving various parking lots at several of our community parks. As a result, these lots will be temporarily closed to be prepared and then repaved. The parking lots will be closed on the above dates. No parking signs will be posted 72 hours before work begins. Reminder! Resurfacing of various sports courts and splash pads around the City is still underway. ... If you notice the hoops missing or areas closed at your local park, it is because we are getting ready to resurface the area or it is curing before reopening. Thank you for your patience while we work to improve our local community parks, LE! #LakeElsinore #CityParks #LEAtWork #GreatParksGreatCities
