Our LEAP team has been connecting virtually to discuss the best research-based practices and creating lesson plans that will make our reading program even more robust and equip our students with the tools they need to move forward. While we’re safe at home, we’re still LEAPING into Action!

We love having our AMAZING LEAP Literacy Tutors all in the same room to discuss student progress and share best practices. We’re so lucky and proud to have tutors who pour so much time and love into everything they do for our students! #leapliteracy
Reading aloud strengthens fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, cognition, and listening skills - but best of all, it promotes bonding and a love of reading!

We are so grateful to partner with the Pacific Life Foundation once again to help more Striving Readers become Thriving Readers. Thank you @pacificlife for supporting our 2019-2020 LEAP Reading Intervention Program and for continuing to invest in our Orange County community. #PLGrants #LEAPLiteracy
Thank you for continuing to support our LEAP Reading Intervention ProgramYOU are our greatest gift by far. Let’s help more striving readers become thriving readers in 2020 and beyond!
Celebrate GivingTuesday (December 3, 2019) by giving Striving Readers the tools to become Thriving Readers! Your donation, in any amount, will help 128 students in first through fifth grade, reach their grade-level reading goals. By supporting LEAP Learning Center this GivingTuesday, you continue to make our free after-school Reading Intervention Program possible. One key element that separates LEAP from many other after-school tutoring programs is that we are not a drop-in...come as often, or as little as you likeprogram. Our students meet four days a week with highly qualified tutors, most of whom are retired schoolteachers, as well as college students from UCI. We know through experience that our students thrive in an environment where they feel safe and valued and can depend on familiar faces and consistent routines. On average, our LEAP students improve by 4+ reading levels by year-end. Last year, 15% of our students improved by 7-10 reading levelsthe equivalent of two whole grade levels! We appreciate your support on GivingTuesday, and every day. You are sharing the gift of reading. You are changing lives!
Helping striving readers become thriving readers is a wonderful way to practice compassion and kindness. Visit www.leapintoaction.org for more info.
Happy National Boss’s Day to our amazing LEAP Executive Director, Sally Parkin! We thank you for serving our students, and leading our organization, so wholeheartedly. Over the past 20 years, you have helped thousands of striving readers transform into thriving readers. You are an inspiration to us all!
