Goat CrossFit: we don’t flip tires, we stand on them while demanding to be pet!

We have some BIG news! Our family (of the animal and human variety ) will be relocating to South Florida in October!! We are so very thankful for the friendships we have made during our time in Southern California, but it is time to return home, and be closer to our families. Our rescue purpose will continue in South Florida just as soon as we get settled!... And yes... all animals of LCR that are not adopted out prior to our move will be moving with us! Maybe now would be a good time to start that rescue SnapChat

I demand dinner!

Always so crazy looking back at old photos and seeing the changes that happened throughout the year, sometimes you forget where they started at. I sure forgot how small, unhandled and scraggly of a colt Merlin was. Now he’s just over 2 years old and absolutely stunning. He’ll make someone a phenomenal partner some day.

This stunna is still available! We had a few people come but we didn’t feel they were a good fit. He’s a stellar colt and will make someone very happy!

Our beautiful Belle is still looking for her forever home - she is approximately 10 years old, and has a spinal deformity due to years of neglect and starvation before she came to Last Chance Ranch. Belle is as sweet as they come - she is so affectionate, personable, and just wants to be in your pocket. We know that she cannot be ridden, but we welcome your vet's opinion on whether or not she could be driven. Belle does have a case of "only child syndrome," - she can be sta...lled peacefully next to other horses, but she cannot share pens, pastures or paddocks with other horses as she is territorial of her food (I mean, can you blame her?) She does NOT have food aggression with humans whatsoever. Belle clips, ties, and stands wonderfully for the farrier. This princess absolutely LOVES baths - loves them. When you're filling her water bucket, she will wash her own face in the hose LOL. She has been exposed to goats, donkeys, dogs, young children and our crazy barn cats - none of it phases her. She just loves and craves attention from others... and she deserves every bit of it <3 If interested in adopting Belle, please contact us!

Beautiful Pasture Puff Available for Adoption Missy is a paint mare in her late teens, available for adoption to a pasture-puff home only. Her riding days are over due to knuckled-over conformation in the hind end - but she still loves to kick up her heels in turn-out! She is the sweetest girl you will ever meet, and loves to have kisses on her nose (especially when you're buzzing around, trying to muck her stall - LOL). Missy gets along with other horses, but is somewhat o...f an alpha mare. She's been pastured with other mares, geldings, and donkeys and does fine, She is barefoot, and an easy keeper who enjoys her alfalfa, bermuda, and her Triple Crown Feed - the Complete recipe. Missy is as gentle as can be - my 4 year old daughter can halter her, take her to turn out, groom her, grain her - you name it. She is a gentle soul just seeking love for the rest of her life. If you can offer Missy a forever home, where she can be loved and spoiled for the rest of her days - please contact us to discuss!

Our beautiful Ethel is now available for adoption to a perfect, happily-ever-after home. Ethel is in her mid-20s - but if you've ever heard the phrase "age is just a number," Ethel is proof in the flesh that those words are so true! While Ethel would prefer not to be ridden, she would graciously tote around a child on lead line for short stints (perfect for grandkids, or visiting friends). Due to her age, we ask that she not be ridden full time, or by adult riders. Ethel's ...skills are the following: - Looking gorgeous - Polishing off a scoop of senior grain in record time - Being a social butterfly: Ethel gets along with anyone she's turned out with - young, old, mare, gelding, donkey. - Babysitting - we have Ethel to thank for the social skills she has instilled in our two young geldings, Merlin and Gosling. She has raised them as "her boys," and has taught them herd manners in ways that only another horse can. - Patience - she is great with my four year old daughter, who can go into her stall, brush her all over (mane, tail, body - feet - you name it,) and fly spray her. - Love - this mare has so much love to give, despite those who have wronged her prior to her life here at Last Chance Ranch. Ethel has been vaccinated, de-wormed, and had her teeth floated earlier this year. She is a very easy keeper, and enjoys a diet of alfalfa, bermuda, and Triple Crown Complete. She is barefoot as well. If interested in adopting Ethel, please contact us so we can discuss the opportunity, and her adoption fee. <3
