A blessed Good Friday to all. As we reflect on the mystery of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, may we be reminded of his love for us, and of our call to love one another sacrificially, following his example. Join us for Easter morning worship on the West Lawn at 10:00am! We will celebrate Holy Communion with pre-packaged elements and maintain social distance. Service will be followed by a socially-distanced, parent-supervised Easter Egg Hunt at 11:00am. Click here to RSVP ...so we can arrange seating for you and your family: https://rsvp.church/r/TO53a5Xn Happy Easter!!

Drive in worship this Sunday (March 14) at 11:00am. The Gospel includes John 3:16, "the Gospel in a Nutshell" and the sermon title is "Saved by Grace". The service will be filled with inspiring music, words and prayer, exactly one year after "the COVID shut down" has changed our lives. Join us in the LCI parking lot - and don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour to SPRING FORWARD!

Getting ready for our second ever drive-in worship - tomorrow (Sun., Feb. 28) at 11:00am in the LCI parking lot. The theme is The Way of the Cross, and among other things, we will hear stories of black Lutherans as we conclude Black History Month in February. The service will close with Lift Every Voice and Sing, which is in our hymnal and is the black national anthem. It is also a kind of alternative anthem for our nation at this critical moment in its history, one which everyone can appreciate. Come and join us!

Dear LCI family, I would ask for your prayers as I have another 72-hour ambulatory (outpatient) EEG, a test to see how my brain is doing. Things looked pretty good last time three months ago); this is now the sixth month mark from my brain surgery, and hoping for a good result this time too. Your prayers make a difference and are much appreciated. Peace!... Pastor Dan See more

Join us for Drive-in Worship this Sunday (Feb. 7) at 11:00am! Arrive as early as 10:30am; the service should last about 30-40 minutes, and there are 43 spots for cars. The service will be led by the LCI worship team, broadcast to your car radio. We request that you wear masks and stay in your car for the whole time, and that your engine be turned off. The theme for the service is "strategic patience". A similar service will also be posted to YouTube, as it has been throughout the COVID shutdown, in case you can't join us. Blessings and Peace, and we'll see you in the LCI parking lot or on YouTube!

Dear LCI Members and Friends: Some sort of spam e-mail went out in my name today (Monday, February 8). It says something about "something urgent that needs your assistance". I'm not sure what this was or where it came from, but it was definitely not from me - it's from an e-mail address I have never seen before: [email protected]. Please disregard it if you happened to receive it. The email address I use for church business is: [email protected]. My home email is...: [email protected]. Occasionally I use [email protected]. That's it. Anything else is almost certainly a scam. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. You can find my contact info in the church directory and on our website. Thanks for your patience, Pastor Dan Smith
