Joint pain can be felt in one place, moving around, dull, stabbing, heavy, stiff, or with redness. The treatment of joint pain varies widely, depending on the cause. The nature of your pain is a clue to why the pain exists in the first place. TCM’s approach is to treat the cause of the pain in addition to the symptom. This holistic approach addresses the whole person, not just the illness. Interested to learn if acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can help you? One Year. It's been a year since we entered Shelter-in-Place, aka the Big Pause. The timing of the emergence of Spring and this anniversary brings to mind the concepts of rebirth, starting over, and new growth; the Big Reset, if you may. As you reflect on this past rollercoaster year, what will you pause for longer? What yearns to come alive again? How will you do things differently? How have you grown? #covid #growth #NewBeginnings #Reflection #Acupuncture #TCM #spring #EmotionalHealth #MentalHealth #Fremont #OneLongYear
In Chinese Medicine, we regard the common cold as an "external invasion" of wind, cold, heat, dryness, or dampness. In order to effectively treat the common cold, we must correctly identify the type of this external influence. TCM’s approach is to treat the cause of the cold or flu in addition to the symptoms. This holistic approach addresses the whole person, not just the illness. Interested to learn if acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can help you? 6 long months. It's been half a year since shelter in place was put in effect. These times are certainly challenging and unsettling, to say the least. Our bodies feel the impact and our mental/emotional health is affected. We yearn to resume our normal lives. Although this will take a while, we can’t put our lives and health on hold. We’ll need to do things differently. Accordingly, I’ve updated my protocols and office policies for appointments to keep us safe. I am seeing patients ONLINE and IN-PERSON and would love to see you soon. Visit buff.ly/2ErB2I3 for more information or to schedule your appointment.

LUNG HEALTH Due to the 365+ fires in California right now, the air has reached unhealthy and toxic air quality levels. I looked through my pantry for some cool natured snacks to support lung health. HONEYDEW/CANTELOPE clears heat, moistens the lung, and good for cough.... MINT clears heat, soothes red and irritated eyes and throat, and releases the exterior. CHRYSANTHEMUM tea disperses wind-heat and toxins, soothes red, painful, dry eyes. FIGS (fresh is better) clear toxicity, engenders body fluids, good for dry cough and throat. There are some wonderful Chinese herbal formulas to help support your lungs and to alleviate your symptoms. Please reach out to me if I can help.
