Thank you to everyone attending Port of Long Beach's Twilight Cinema Drive-In movie series! . The next two movies registrations (Toy Story 4 & Sonic the Hedgehog) are SOLD OUT. .... Registration for Frozen II opens FRIDAY AUGUST 21st at 9AM. This movie will be at Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center parking lot. . Go to http://polb.com/twilightcinema to register. Tickets are FREE. . For those who have never attended, a couple tips: Granada Parking Lot opens at 6:30pm, enter at Ocean Blvd & Bennett Ave. For Convention Center movies, enter at Linden Avenue and Shoreline Drive. Look for the blue Port of Long Beach tent to check in. . No seating is permitted outside of your vehicle as movie audio will be transmitted via radio into your car. Staff will make an announcement with which radio frequency to tune into before the movie starts. . Movies begin at dusk (approximately 8:30pm) . - Physical distancing rules apply! Each car will be spaced accordingly by staff upon arrival. . Patrons must wear face coverings when exiting their vehicle. . A food truck will be on site for those who want to buy food before the movie. All vendors are CASHLESS. SPECIAL EVENT UPDATE: Professional Firework Shows such as Big Bang on the Bay and Queen Mary will not be taking place this year due to the ongoing health emergency and to prevent large gatherings which are prohibited under current State orders. Additionally, we will not be issuing block party permits for similar reasons.... Events like fireworks shows and block parties encourage large gatherings, and such gatherings are not permitted per the State of California. Long Beach Department of Health & Human Services (LBDHHS) officials continue to advise residents to practice proper preventative measures while celebrating safely like: Maintaining 6-foot distance from people not in your household Wear a mask Wash your hands Sanitize high-touch surfaces As a reminder, all fireworks are prohibited in Long Beach, including "Safe and Sane".
