It will take place on Thursday March 11th at 9:00 a.m. Pacific standard time, and 12:00 noon Eastern time. This is such an honor, we know she’d be so proud. We look forward to seeing you there! Please help sustain the senior studies program during the COVID crisis and beyond!

The Lifetime Learning Center offers classes, programs, and activities for older adults, keeping them active mentally, physically, and socially. With COVID putting a stop to all in-person instruction, we have worked hard to provide our services digitally, offering online classes in politics, music in popular culture, strength training and Tai Chi for better balance (among others) to help ensure the mental, physical, and social health of LBCC's Lifetime Vikings. Our center is a...lso offering support with tuition and technology so that financial hardships due to COVID are not isolating members of our vibrant community. By supporting the Lifetime Learning Center, you are helping us continue providing necessary services to older adults, offering classes and programs that enrich the lives of lifetime learners. It was announced last week that the campus will be closed through June 2021. Our students will need us more now than ever with classes and the technology needed. The Outstanding Senior Luncheon is postponed for the second year which is our primary fundraiser that sustains our programs. WE NEED THE SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY TO SUPPORT OUR LIFETIME LEARNERS. Lifetime Learning Center is participating in Long Beach Gives. COVID has caused many new challenges for education. We are offering all our classes on Zoom. As a non-profit organization we need your support to sustain our programs for the Lifetime Learners at Long Beach City College. Fundraising starts on September 17.
