On June 22, 2020, President Trump issued a proclamation restricting travel to the United States because of the spread of Covid-19. The order was extended on December 31, 2020 until March 30, 2021. Pursuant to the order, no immigrant visa interviews will be scheduled for certain categories. The order leaves certain groups eligible for an interview: 1. IR-1 Immediate relatives (Parents and Spouses) ... 2. IR-2 Immediate relatives (child under 21) 3. CR-1 - Conditional Resident spouses 4. CR-2 - Child (under 21) of Conditional Resident spouse. Interviews will be considered on an expedited requests. Neither the NVC nor the U.S. Embassy will schedule the appointment. The interview MUST be requested. The contract was not renewed. USCIS is hoping to print and produce legal documents in house. However, the transition was not complete which caused a backlog and increase in waiting period. ...
