I was looking for an attorney who was smart, accessible, and a shark in the courtroom. He is just that. My case was very complicated involving a custody battle with my very young child. Michael was very attentive and listened to every detail of my case. He was not afraid to take on my case and start right away wit...h getting things done. He was very honest and helped me navigate the waters as effectively as possible. One thing I truly appreciated is that he was very efficient when it came to email and phone calls. Michael always answered any and ALL of my questions in a very quick time frame and took the time to call me for any and all of my questions. He always kept me in the loop oin what was happening. Even if iI called after normal work hours he would take my call. When it came to the dealing with the very difficult opposing counsel he was extremely diligent on making sure paperwork was handled in a timely manner. Michael did not let the opposing council off the hook and made sure they knew we meant business. In the courtroom he is a means business. Mr. DeDecker is very smart and will to what is happening. I appreciated his strong backbone in the courtroom. I am so grateful for Mr. DeDecker's services. He truly is an amazing attorney. He is professional, persistent, compassionate and very very hard working, He does not simply take his clients for face value but truly cares about your well being and reaching the best outcome possible. Move away child custody case 5.0 stars Posted by Tashay July 28, 2017 Michael was referred to me from my co-worker who told me that he won his divorce case. And once i meet him he was very informative and Made things happen for my case as soon as possible. Since i wanted a move away case within 3 months and let me know a time frame and what to expect. He did everything I asked plus more he is skilled and successful in the court room. He would tell me exactly what the judge was saying before she could even speak and he was always right. Ultimately he won my case and I got to move in the time frame I wanted. I am beyond happy and he will always be my go to when I need help or any one else I know. Thanks again Michael for helping me and doing and amazing job.

This became the turning point, not only in my case, but in my attitude and mental state going through my difficult divorce. Michael's clear sense of personal responsibility allowed me to regain my dignity while staying on the high moral ground throughout the process. He "talked me down" from some difficult places and helped me prevail in a case characterized by drama and character defamation. I am now emerging, post settlement, more whole - financially and emotionally - than I thought possible. I am very grateful for Michael's steadfast support, wise counsel, and friendship.

The BEST lawyer in the Sac area 5.0 stars Posted by anonymous September 13, 2017... Michael is one of the best lawyers I have worked with, he truly cares about his clients and their needs. He lays everything out on the table for you good or bad, and helps you come to a conclusion. I truly enjoyed working with him, he is calm, level headed, and collected in high stress situations and really knows how to calm his clients down and figure out what would be best for them. He knows the ins and outs of the laws and knows how to take any situation and turn it around and see the good in it which I believe to be an excellent quality. I highly highly recommend Michael to anyone he will get the job done and no matter which way the case goes he will make sure that the outcome is fair and just to his clients, his strategic planning and approach to situations is also very great! Such a genuine caring attorney 5.0 stars Posted by Chene January 11, 2018 Michael was my attorney for the last year during one of the most devistating times of my life, dealing with family court is hard especially when it's about your children, and Michael was consistent and attentive from start to finish. Before I even hired him he made sure to answer all my questions and explain the process I was going to go through. He was very honest on what to expect and didn't sell me a dream. Any time I needed to talk with him he was available for me and also my very strong opinionated family. I could text him about an upcoming court date and he would text right back. I would recommend Michael to anyone and use him in any of my family court matters. I'm truly grateful for all his hard work for me and my family, thank you.

As scary as these situations can be Michael made this process as painless as possible. When ever I have any legal needs I will be going to Michael and will refer my friends and family to him.
