Tonight's all call transcript: Hello LAVA Parents, We have attendance folders ready to sign, we are hoping to get signatures in the morning, tomorrow we are looking for the 6th and 7th grade signatures. So if you have a 6th or 7th grade student please pull forward into a parking spot so we can get your signature on the attendance form and the work record. 7th grade will be on Thursday and 8th on Friday. If you have a Lava distance learner at home, please stop by the office ...with your student between 8:30 and 2:30 at any point this week so we can get your signature and the students signature on the attendance folders. The Tehama Community Action Agency reached out to our school to offer a free, no questions asked, winter break meal. This meal will be family style and include a main dish, 2-3 side dishes, and a dessert. If you are interested in this free meal please contact the school as soon as possible so we can meet the October 1st deadline for the meal count. These will be dispersed in December. We are nearly 1/2 way though our second attendance period and I need to remind all of our students, families, and especially our distance learners, that we are an independent study school and students who do not complete and turn in a sufficient amount of assignments cannot stay at our school and will be sent back to their district of residence without exception. Please monitor your students progress on Aeries and reach out to their teachers if you have any concerns. All of our teachers are available after school from 1:00 to 2:00 for virtual office hours and all the students have been trained on how to access them. Thank you for listening and have a great day.

Here is the transcript of tonight's all call: "Hello LAVA Parents! Our first day of school is quickly approaching. If you have not already heard we are doing in class learning. School starts at 8:00 and is over at 12:20 every day. Again, that's 8:00 to 12:20. There are no electives this trimester.... This year we are checking out chromebooks to all students to take home. These will be used in class so they will need to be brought back to school daily. Please remember to charge them at home with the provided charger. We would like to check out as many as possible before the start of school. Please come by on Tuesday the 18th anytime between 10:00 and 3:00 to get yours. To expedite this process you can bring the paperwork that was mailed home earlier this week. Due to COVID-19 student drop off will be very different this year. To accommodate these changes please arrive early inorder for us to have sufficient time to screen all students. We are asking all students to remain in their car until we can take their temperature. In order for us to remain open, any student above 100.4 degrees cannot be allowed on campus and must return home with their parents. Students who live nearby are still allowed to walk as long as families understand that they will be sent home if they show a fever or any COVID like symptoms. I understand that this is an incredibly frustrating situation and we thank you all for your patience and understanding as we learn and adapt to the new procedures. We will release students from classes in 5 minute intervals. 5th graders will be released first at 12:10. 6th graders will be released at 12:15. 7th graders will be released at 12:20, and 8th graders will be released at 12: 25. Please plan accordingly. This will help ensure that students are isolated from the other grades as much as possible and should also have the added benefit of reducing traffic in our parking lot. Again, please come by the school on Tuesday between 10:00 and 3:00 with the paperwork we mailed home and collect your students chromebook. If you did not receive the letter home we can give you new copies of everything on Tuesday when you grab your chromebooks. Thank you for listening and have a great evening."
