I received a couple of DMs this weekend, asking about #morpheus8. Specifically, what is the purpose of Morpheus8. It is minimally invasive microneedling with radiofrequency. The 12 or 24 microneedles penetrate up to 4 mm of the skin on the face and neck and deliver heat energy to the dermis and sub-dermis layer of the skin to stimulate collagen production and break down fatty tissue and, in turn, achieve skin and fat tightening. 4-day post #morpheus8 #radiofrequency for #skintightening: I’m doing great. The brown scabs on my face are gone. (I still have the eborrheic keratosis, of course.) I do have some scabs on my neck, which I expect to resolve in the next few days. I already feel the skin tightening in my face.

Much improvement of the lower saggy and droopy eyelids following #lowerblepharoplasty, #lateralcanthoplasty, and #dermalfiller to the #teartroughs. Lower blepharoplasty removes the redundant skin. Lateral canthoplasty tightens and elevates the lower eyelids up; so that there is less bowing of the contour, especially in the outer half, and allow for more of an almond shape. Dermal filler replaces volume in the tear trough where soft tissues at the junction between the eyelid and cheek have thinned and descended into the mid-face. This occurs from aging and gravity. Here, we used #rha2 from #revance, the newest fda-approved #hyaluronicaciddermalfiller with good duration and safety profile.

Her friends commented that she looked refreshed after #ptosisrepair and #upperblepharoplasty. Both are often referred as #eyelidlift, but they are different procedures with different pathophysiology. #ptosisrepair, #ptosiscorrection, or #ptosissurgery is a procedure to shorten the muscles that open the eyes, which in turn increases the tension in the muscles during contraction and thus force that is used to pull the eyelid up wider. This procedure will increase the distance b...etween the upper and lower lash margin. #blepharoplasty is a procedure to excise excess skin fold. Eyelid skin folds become stretched and redundant as the skin loses collagen and elastin with aging. While this procedure can take the weight of the eyelid, as well as improve the peripheral vision if the skin folds overlap the lashes, it does not change how wide the eyes open underneath the skin folds. Patients with sleepy, droopy eyes need ptosis repair, while patients with saggy skin folds need blepharoplasty. Some benefit from both. See more
