19 CATS RESCUED LCHR 501c3 Was looking to adopt a few barn cats to help with rodent control. We partnered up with Available Shelter Pets on Instagram, seeing their post about a colony of 19 ferrel cats in need of immediate adoption, they were being held at the OC Animal control ! Knowing these cats were high risk to be put down, LCHR stepped in right away and adopt the whole colony of 19 cats. Huge thank you to Available Shelter Pets as we wouldn’t have found out ab...out the feral cat colony. The Cat colony will all stay together as a family on the ranch. We are very happy to have them a part of our ranch family of rescues. If able to help by donating - click donate button, every little bit helps ! Or send a gift to the kitties off of our amazon wish list created just for our rescue cat colony, link is bellow. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3NBI90IOV5YWA
Not sure why this little lady Cricket hasn’t been adopted yet! She’s so nice !
Thank you Tracy for the gracious sponsorship for Ava’s medical supplies for this month- this all goes directly in helping her...
Oh boy this little Appy filly of our rescue mare Ava is rambunctious! I watch her in cameras frolic all night not bad for 2 days old...
Ava Update Because Ava is currently working on her gentling training and is still learning to slowly trust people, there’s no way a vet could safely do a pregnancy check on Ava, we wouldn’t want to stress her out in anyway, our team purchased a horse pregnancy test online it’s on it’s way should arrive around the 17th, this is the least stressful way to see if she’s in foal . We will keep everyone updated on her progress, as for now Ava will be moved into our birt...hing stall with cameras so she can be monitored 24/7. Also mare and foal supplements added to her diet just incase. If you haven’t been fallowing Avas story here’s a quick rundown , Ava was dumped along with small herd of POAs and Appaloosas at an auction in TX the herd was completely untouched and had been running basically wild in an extremely large pasture together, we where able to save Ava and Nova from kill buyers in this group of untouched horses, in the small herd of horses there was a stallion so Ava could of been exposed last spring and due anytime!! LCHR team has been working trying to gentle Ava as quickly as possible while also letting Ava trust humans on her own terms, Ava is still looking for a sponsor Her horsey pregnancy test was $38.00. Straw/bedding for her birthing stall is $9 a bail We need about 10+ bails of straw. Avas mare and foal supplements cost around $44. Any size donation helps even if it’s a dollar. We know things are tuff right now in the world, we appreciate everyone! Even if it’s a like and share LCRH page. We are not a %100 sure yet if Ava is in foal, but by the look and shape of her belly our team believe so, we are taking every precaution until we find out. Thank you! Everyone for your continued support, the LCHR horses appreciate it more than you know!
If anyone is able to help Ava and her new filly, we are in need of Mare and Foal grain. Thank you !
This is what it looks like on Vaccination day at Last Chance Horse Rescue !! It’s a full day event
