This fall, our students spent 12 weeks exploring the people and places that make our communities vibrant. Take a closer look at our Digital Promotoras Vibrance photojournalism projects: Image 1 & 2: Angel Mia Torres, 12 "My project is about the importance of pantries in smaller communities and how the pandemic is affecting them. I photographed my local pantry and subject, Patricia Calderon, the director. While photographing and interviewing them, I learned how much... the pantry was involved with my community and its families." Image 3 & 4: Linnette Suarez, 13 "Many people think my sister is my mom, and I am not surprised. My sister is like my mom because we love to spend time together....When people read my work, I want them to not only get to know me but also my sister because she deserves the world."
