In light of what has been going on in our country and even our own community, we wanted to share our support for the AAPI community. There is still too much hate in this world and it needs to stop. Remember to choose kindness, always cuz even inside jokes can be hurtful. #stopasianhate

February is Black History Month In 1869, Dr. Robert Tanner Freeman graduated from Harvard University’s School of Dentistry and became the first African American dentist, nearly 100 years after dentistry was practiced in the United States. He found success in being able to serve the African American community and became a pioneer in dentistry for minorities. Before getting into Harvard, he was rejected by two other schools because of the color of his skin. His success paved ...the way for cultural and political change in dentistry. Shortly after, in 1870, Dr. George F. Grant graduated from Harvard and became the second African American dentist. His inventive skills earned him a role as the first African American professor in Harvard. There, he contributed his skills and knowledge in mechanical dentistry and later invented inserts for patients with cleft palettes. Being the inventor that he is, and his love for golf, he also invented the wooden golf tee. In 1890, Dr. Ida Gray Nelson Rollins became the first African American female dentist and became a role model for many women. After she got married, she moved to Chicago and became the first dentist to practice there, serving a clientele of men and women of all races. Dr. Rollins inspired one of her clients to pursue dentistry, who became the second African American female dentist in Chicago. Dr. Freeman, Dr. Grant, and Dr. Rollins followed their dreams and opened doors for the African American community to excel in dentistry and challenge the political and social culture of the past. Let their stories inspire you do pursue your dreams and change the world for the better.

Joyce came in for a cleaning and she stated that she was taller than Kayla. So we all measured ourselves and marked it with tape on the wall. Kayla was the tallest and Alisha was the shortest. Elf got jealous and wanted to see how tall he could be. He found some materials for longer legs and found Meemaws shoes for feet. Yet, he still couldn’t make the cut #elfontheshelf #elf #happyholidays #christmas #wrappingpaper #dentalhygienist #dentalassistant #livermore #livermorewinecountry #dentalfun

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. We learned from one of our own that what's hidden behind "happiness" is darkness. Many hide their depression very well. Sometimes the cheeriest ones are the ones that are hurting the most. Take a moment to reach out to a friend, a family member, or a coworker. Sometimes a simple hello or a "I'm proud of you" will save a person's life. . . .... . . . . . . #suicideprevention #suicidepreventionmonth #suicideawarenessmonth #outofthedarkness #mowrydentalfremont #mowrydental #laspositasfamilydental #infinityroses #proudofyou #youareworthit #youarenotalone #thefutureisfemale #shemadeit See more
