Some people see a wall...others see a canvas. West Valley Police Station would like to thank Levi for doing this amazing artwork for our station. In addition to creating this artwork, Levi was more than willing to work with the West Valley Jeopardy youth. The kids could not have been happier to be apart of this project that will be here for years and years to come. Thanks again Levi. @lapdhq @lapdovb

Today around 12:55 a.m., LAPD officers responded to a shooting incident at Figueroa/ Exposition in Southwest Patrol Division. They found a male adult who had b...een shot at and sustained a graze wound to the head. The victim is expected to survive his injuries. The suspect was described as a male in a white Jeep Cherokee. That information was sent to all patrol units. Around 1:05 a.m., a shooting occurred near 28th St / Figueroa where a male adult was shot in his car. He was pronounced deceased at scene. Around 1:25 a.m., a male motorist was shot at 7th Stand Figueroa. The male was pronounced dead at scene. The suspect's vehicle in all three shootings was similar and that information was broadcast to all units. Officers from Transit Services Division saw the vehicle near Washington and Maple. The car became disabled after spike strips were used and stopped on the WB 91 Freeway at the Raymond overpass in Fullerton. SWAT responded to assist due to the barricaded suspect. They initiated negotiations but this was not successful since suspect refused to submit to arrest. The suspect fired a weapon at the officers, resulting in an officer involved shooting. The suspect was pronounced dead at scene and a weapon was recovered from his vehicle. Robbery Homicide Division personnel will be responsible for handling the criminal investigations and Force Investigation Division will conduct the OIS Invesigation. Because officers were actively engaged and present, they were able to prevent this suspect intent on violence, from harming other members of the community.

Los Angeles Police Department Announces Partnership with Bike Index The Los Angeles Police Department has partnered with Bike Index, a bicycle registry, to aid in the return of stolen bikes to their rightful owners. Bike Index is a free, non-profit bicycle registry that is available to the community and will help individuals recover their stolen or lost bicycle regardless of where it is found. The goal of this partnership is to benefit the Los Angeles community by increasing... law enforcement’s ability to recover lost or stolen bicycles. Bicycle owners can voluntarily register their bikes for free with LAPD on Bike Index, and trusted law-enforcement users will be able to contact registrants when their bikes are found. Registering a bicycle with Bike Index or searching for bicycles is easy - just create a Bike Index account at www.bikeindex.org/lapd. The only information needed to add a bicycle to Bike Index is the serial number, photos and any other identifying information. If your bike is stolen, be sure to first file a police report by logging on to the LAPD Community Online Reporting Service website, accessible by link at lapdonline.org. Once a report has been filed with the LAPD, a community member should then mark their bicycle as stolen on Bike Index. In turn, Bike Index will notify pawn shops, riders, and other organizations to be on the look out for the missing bicycle. Bike Index’s free community outreach tools will assist and complement LAPD’s recovery efforts, and this process immediately increases the chances of a stolen or lost bicycle being reunited with the rightful owner. After hearing from LAPD officers who believed a voluntary bike registration program could help deter bike theft and reunite owners with stolen bikes, Councilmember Bob Blumenfield introduced the motion that authorized this program, and provided seed funding to make the program possible. We are excited about the partnership. Register online today with Bike Index, or ask an LAPD officer to assist you by providing them with your bicycle serial number. This little guy happened to stop by our station during our food drive. He asked if I had a sticker. I told him, I got something better than a sticker. I came back with these goodies and as soon as he saw them he leaped with joy. Even though he’s wearing a mask, you can see that ear-to-ear smile.

Detectives Seeking Additional Victims of Crime Against Child Sexual Assault Suspect The Los Angeles Police Department is asking the assistance of the public in... an attempt to locate any additional victims of a sexual assault suspect, 22-year-old Princeton Bloome. Bloome would seek out minor children online and pose as a 17-year-old. He used false identities and fabricated stories about his lifestyle.
