This Thursday, June 11 there is a fresh produce box give-a-way at Homestead Valley Park 1501 Belfield Blvd Landers, CA 92285. This will continue every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. Line-up starts at 10:30pm. Proof of residency is not required. Masks are strongly encouraged to help keep volunteers safe. This is first-come-first-served.
Now that our county has allowed retail stores to open Landers Thrift Store is back! HUGH ROUND OF APPLAUSE AND A BIG THANK YOU to our volunteers for opening the store again and for organizing donations while the store was closed. We are limiting the number of people allowed inside and masks are required to enter. Please respect the health and safety of our volunteers and shoppers. The thrift store sales help keep Belfield Hall open. We are not accepting donations at this tim...e as the thrift store and the back storage space are full. The USDA Food Distribution is still scheduled for Monday May 18th, starting at 8:30am. The truck is expected to arrive at 9:30am. Belfield Hall: 58380 Reche Rd, Landers Please note: -We are receiving 120 pre-packed boxes of food. 24 more boxes than last month. -Proof of residency is no longer required, we just need a full name and the number of people in your household. ... -Masks are strongly recommended to help keep our volunteers safe. -This is still first-come-first-served. We will not be passing out numbers. Cars will line up on Becker Rd and must stay in line to receive food. Please remain in your car. Volunteers will come to your car to take information and will load the box into your car. -Thanks to Landers resident Svetlana and Project Mask LA we will be giving away 150 sanitized & reusable masks! Thanks to our volunteers who manage this service!

The Department of Aging and Adult Services is collaborating with Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County and San Bernardino County Fire Department to distribute food to older adults and disabled adults in the Landers community. Under the federal Emergency Food As...sistance Program, DAAS is distributing food items to those in need of shelf-stable food items. Eligibility: Adults age 60 and over and adults with disabilities.
