A few months ago, I picked up an ‘ukulele and once again turned to YouTube to learn how to play. I haven’t played an instrument in years, much less a stringed instrument, but practicing when I can helps to distract my mind for awhile. Can you guess what song I’m learning first?

2 years ago, I attended my first photography meet. Alone. If you know me, you know that I’m an introvert; shy, pretty reserved, almost anti-social. I don’t typically introduce myself to new people, as I have a tendency to wait to be introduced by someone else, or approached by them (which almost never happens, as I’ve been told I appear unapproachable due to my RBF )... It took a LOT out of me to fight the urge to crawl back into my shell, but I pushed back against my insecurities and met a lot of great people who took the time to talk to me and answer any questions I had regarding portrait photography. I still have a lot left to learn, but along the way, I keep meeting other like-minded creatives who inspire me and keep me motivated to continue working on my craft. Thanks to all of you; hopefully, we can work together again soon!

They always say there’s a lot of fish in the sea, but ya know what else is in the sea? Trash. Lots of trash. Dating in my 30s gives me a headache.

Bay Bridge lite?

Occasionally, a spontaneous trip will yield a fantastic burn like this; other times, the sunset/sunrise will be pretty unremarkable. It’s kinda like life, in that most days are average and uneventful, but every so often, something happens that leaves a lasting impression.

Was hoping for a little more rain, but this’ll do.

Haven’t caught any jaw-dropping sunsets lately, but these cotton candy burns are pretty awesome.

Really just posting this to remind myself to visit the observation wheel in GGP soon; I shot this in 2018 during the Summer Solstice. Earlier in the day, they projected some stuff onto the Conservatory while playing Mckenzie’s San Francisco, and I was slightweight hoping they would mix it into the Traxamillion version so we could get hyphy, buuuuuut they didn’t.

I remember going on fishing trips with my grandfather and sister. He’d take us to the marina, and we’d cast out the line, which was really just some scrap fishing line tied to a stick. I don’t think it even had a hook on it; we never caught anything, but we always had a lot of fun.
