Open Enrollment: SAVE THE DATE! For Medicare Advantge and Medicare Part D plans: Oct 15-Dec 7 For non medicare (Obamacare, ACA, ETC): Nov 1 - Jan 31 Why? Because this is when you can see what the new plans are, for 2018, and make the appropriate decisions. It's when you learn abuot any changes to your existing plan, and if and how it changes for the new year.

Here it is August! As hot as August gets, it's important to remember a few things to help cool off. They're the typical things, like scheduling your driving, where you can, to the early evening, once the sun has gone down. Pick shaded roads to use instead of wide open sun sucking highways. Keep cold water on hand, and a towel you can wet to drape over your neck. Also remember that your pet doesn't typically have shoes on to protect their paws from the hot pavement. I am s...ure you have plenty of ideas on keeping cool, like perhaps taking a dip at the local pool instead of taking a hike? Or perhaps take in a movie, in a nice air condtioned theater! Regardless of what you do, make sure you take care of yourself, and enjoy August! And for my clients, this is when you should start making a list of things like any medication changes or health changes that you'll want to address!
