Dear Lancaster Pet Clinic Pet Parents, The decision has been made to extend our current appointment protocols. We will continue to allow only essential staff members inside the hospital building with the exception of humane euthanasia appointments. The safety of our staff, our patients, and our clients is our top priority. We will always choose the safest option, even when it is not the easiest option.... We continue to monitor the recommendations from the AVMA, AAHA, CVMA and our state and local health agencies. Please understand that there is no way for our doctor and staff to effectively or safely social distance in an enclosed exam room with you and your pet. Our lobby does not have the space to safely allow clients into the hospital while waiting for their appointments. We will continue to follow the state regulations, to protect our staff and clientele. This means that facial coverings are required when coming to your pet’s appointment. Please wear your mask any time you meet with our staff members. If you or anyone in your home, are currently sick or experiencing fever, chills, cough, respiratory issues, loss of taste or smell, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. If you begin to experience any COVID-19 symptoms or test positive within the two weeks following your appointment, please contact our office. We understand that the no-contact appointment protocols are not the preference for many of our clients. We have had some clients express their dissatisfaction with not being allowed inside the hospital with their pet. We have endured verbally abusive phone calls, verbal abuse in the parking lot and our hard-working staff has been driven to tears on too many occasions. While we acknowledge that the current environment is fueled by stress, anger, loss, and frustration, we ask that you remember that our staff lives in the same world that you do. They continue to show up to help our clients and their pets, and they deserve to be treated with basic human decency and kindness. Anything else is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. We want to thank all of our clients that have extended kindness, gratitude, and patience to us during an extremely difficult time. We cannot express how receiving a "thank you" on the difficult days means more to us than you realize. Your support, compassion, and patience are invaluable to our team and we are very appreciative of your partnership.

Summer Time Tip Now that it is getting hotter outside it is important to remember that asphalt can be too hot for your fur babies to walk on. They can get severe burns on their paws almost immediately! So if you can’t walk around barefoot on the asphalt, neither should they.

Dear Lancaster Pet Clinic Pet Parents, Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are making the following changes effective immediately for the safety of you and our staff. In order to protect everyone, we request that you remain at home if you are feeling ill or have any symptoms associated with the COVID-19 virus.... In addition to the cleaning and disinfecting protocols already in place, we have increased the frequency of our cleaning practices. To minimize the risk of exposure, only our pet health care team members and your pets will be entering the hospital until further notice. Upon arrival to the hospital, please call us at (661) 949-9389 so we can walk you through our curbside protocol. All cats must be in secure carriers and all dogs must be on sturdy leashes with snugly fitted collars. Your appointment will be rescheduled if your pet is not secured safely. Please bear with us while we do our best to protect you and our staff from the risks of the current COVID-19 outbreak and thank you for your support during this difficult time. Our goal is to keep our staff safe and healthy in order to continue to provide quality care for our patients. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
