It has come to our attention that a political flyer is circulating that falsely attributes the headline "Chaos in La Mesa! Peaceful protests turn violent" to the La Mesa Courier. While we do not mind people or entities correctly quoting articles published in the paper, it is wrong and misleading to just make up words we never published. UPDATE - PLEASE SHARE "Tarynn Rose, if you see this, we love you beyond measure!! We are worried sick about you! PLEASE come home!! PLEASE call Mommy, Daddy, Papa, Mama Rena or ANY one of your family members, family friends, your Special Ed advocate or counselor. EVERYONE is worried sick about you & waiting for you to come home. You are not going to be in trouble!! If you are able to walk away & get home, we are all waiting for you with open arms. We will not stop ...until you are home safe!! Thank you to all who have helped aid in the search for our daughter. Tarynn is a good girl. She is not a run away or a delinquent. She is kind & she is loving. She is an honor roll student, on ASB & a cheerleader. She does have a processing disorder & diminished cognitive functioning. Her chronological age & social emotional age are not aligned. She does have Epilepsy & only a limited amount of meds with her. She IS at risk & VERY vulnerable. Based on her own words in a note she left behind & what she took with her, she was feeling very desperate & we believe she was likely coached/groomed. Tarynn leaving is SO out of character. The way she did it is even more out of character for her. NOTHING like this has ever happened before!! The investigation is very active & ongoing. We are receiving strong tips/leads regularly. We have also learned that Tarynn was given a 10 Android Tablet by someone, likely during the time she would have been at school. She is closely supervised & does not run around this town on foot or otherwise, like the average teenager. She communicated with one of the individuals helping her on that device the night she left. We are blessed & grateful to have multiple agencies & organizations, near & far, assisting us in locating our daughter & guiding us through this nightmare. Please know we appreciate all of your concern, help & feedback. We are documenting everything sent/called in & continue to follow the professionals advice on how to navigate our way through this nightmare. They have been consistent & very thorough, going through ALL electronics, our security system & other evidence in and out of our home. The investigation is fluid & there are specific moves being made consistently. If you are connected to the media, please contact the family representative. We need help to keep Tarynn’s name & face out there until she is safe!! PLEASE continue to share our posts & PLEASE continue searching for our daughter!! Thank you!!
