Lakeside Game Night On October 8th at 6pm Lakeside PTA is hosting a fun and exciting Game Night! It will be ADVISEMENT vs ADVISEMENT. WHO WILL WIN? Hybrid Students, A couple of reminders as you prepare to return to campus this week. Tomorrow Cohort A will be on campus and will start in your 1st period class. School staff will be out and around campus to help guide you to the right location, if you are unsure where to go. Check the parent portal (Aeries) tonight and make sure you know your teacher name and classroom number. ... Cohort B will be learning from home tomorrow. During Independent/Online Days you should engage in the work for their classes during the scheduled class time. Students should also check Canvas at the beginning of Independent Days to see responsibilities and assignments for the day. What to bring with you to campus: Bring your backpack with: Your school issued Chromebook- fully charged AND bring your charge cord, just in case. If you did not already receive a school issued Chromebook, one will be waiting for you in your first period class. Grab and Go Lunches Starting tomorrow Lakeside is open from 11:00am-12:15pm for grab and go lunches for purchase or accessing our free/reduced lunch program. Dear Lakeside Community, As communicated by the District earlier today, IUSD remains committed to the safety, health, and wellbeing of our students, staff and families and to providing educational equity and excellence for our more than 36,000 students. The challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic remind us, each day, of the importance of this collective commitment. To that end, last night, the Board of Education made the critically important decision to approve the ac...ademic models for the 2020-21 school year. The Board also voted to require face coverings/masks at all times on IUSD campuses and in classrooms for all staff, students, and visitors. Face coverings/masks may only be removed when maintaining physical distancing of six feet or more and at the direction of a teacher or other staff, or when drinking, eating, or participating in recess/physical activity. Persons with a medical or mental health condition, or disability that prevents wearing a face covering may be exempt per state guidelines. The academic models outlined below are aligned with state and local guidelines for schools and designed to meet the interests of our students, staff and families. Middle Schools will offer 2 models: IUSD Virtual Academy as well as a Hybrid Model. Special Education: Secondary: IUSD Virtual Academy and hybrid models. Traditional model is only available for Moderate/Severe programming and Autism Specific Programming. Click here for more details about IUSD’s academic models for the 2020-21 school year. Academic Model Selection Process To make the academic model selection for your student, login to the Parent Portal and follow the prompts, for step by step directions click here. We will be conducting a materials return/pick-up Monday, June 1 - Thursday, June 4. The process will be completed through curbside drop off in the main parking lot of the school (off Lemongrass). Please follow the map for drive-up instructions. The schedule for the return of materials will be by Advisement Class. Parents who have multiple students, may complete all returns during your youngest child's appointed time.
