Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. #breastcancerawarenessmonth
The Early Lake Lions enjoy being of service to individuals and organizations when we see a need. In this case Lions member Brenda needed a ramp to more easily get into her home after an illness made life more difficult. Lions members stepped up and built the ramp for her, making her life more easy. We love being of service to people and enjoy great fellowship while doing so. You can be part of this story of community by joining us the first and third Thursdays of any month at 6:45a.m. at the Lakeport Senior Activities Center for a great meal and fun fellowship.
Did you see the Lions Club float in the Rose Parade? Want to know more about how we serve this community and have fun doing so? We meet the first and third Thursdays of every month at 6:45 at the Lakeport Senior Activity Center for breakfast. Come see what we are all about! We get community service in before heading to work and you can too!
The Early Lake Lions Club is very proud to support the Clear Lake Gleaners which serves 1600 families per month with a dozen sites around the Lake with nutritious food. Families can make up to $2400/month and still qualify for benefits from the Gleaners. Much of the food that is given out comes from the USDA but they also get food through local food banks and even local grocers. The Gleaners are always looking for drivers and donations and you can be part of helping familie...s in this community. Pictured here are Beverly Westpha, President, Clear Lake Gleaners with Ty Tupper of the Early Lake Lions with the award recently earned at the Stars of Lake County. You, too, can join the Early Lake Lions on the first and third Thursday of the month at 6:45 at the Lakeport Senior Center for breakfast and fellowship before your normal work day starts.
Lions Clubs International love to do good but we are also a friendly bunch celebrating another year of serving Lake County by supporting local businesses and organizations. Here are some shots from our Holiday Party at O'Meara Bros. Brewing Company.

Another night of service to the community as our sponsored Cub Scout Troop participated in the OPERATION TANGO MIKE packing party
It was such a pleasure to listen to these bright students for sharing their vision through the power of their speeches at the Early Lake Lions meeting this morning. There were some very good ideas which will be taken on to the next level of this speaking competition.
This morning the Early Lake Lions donated $1485 to our Scout Troop. The Scouts dramatically raised their dues and we think this program helps its members on the path to adulthood so we solved the dues issue for them. You are welcome to be a part of a friendly organization that helps this community we live in. We meet the first and third Thursdays of every month at 6:45am for breakfast at the Lakeport Senior Activity Center. You’re in and out in time to get to work!
Early Lake Lion John Whitehead is continuing to serve this community on the Lakeport Fire Protection District Board. If you care about your community come join us on the First and Third Thursday of the month at 6:45 in Lakeport Senior Activity Center for fellowship and a wonderful breakfast. You, yes you, can be part of making this community a better place. And have fun doing so.
As we welcome a new year and fresh opportunities this is an ideal time to consider adding service to the community to your resolutions. The Early Lake Lions meet in the morning so you can help improve the community before going to work while enjoying the fellowship of like-minded individuals and a great breakfast. At least being of service to this wonderful place we all call home is a resolution that can be kept and shared.
