Lake of the Sky Outfitters

Hey all you kayakers our there. South Lake Tahoe finally has a dedicated kayak store at the Y In our former location. They sell Jackson and soon Wilderness Systems. They will also carry a complete line of accessories, paddle, PFDs and more. So stop by and check them out. Again they are in our old location next to Subway.

Good news for all PCT hikers and local hikers! BlueZone Sports is going to continue the services and amenities that Lake of the Sky Outfitters began. I met with the store manager Jacob and his employee Dan to talk about how we attracted thru hikers and helped make their visit to South Lake Tahoe less stressful. They will be a package drop, stock the supplies that the PCTers and the rest of us need for their backpacking trips, they will have a place for the hikers to relax as well. Basically everything we did with some ideas of their own. They very grateful for the info I shared with them. They will also work with Leilani to continue to keep the Trail Angel program going. I feel they will do a great job and make us proud. Be sure to check them out this hiking season.

A reminder to all of you 2017 PCT hikers that the store is no more. Please do not send resupply boxes to Lake of the Sky Outfitters as they will be forwarded to my home address. I will take them to the main post office and hopefully for your sake they will hold them.

This is going to be a great evening with popcorn, smores, live music,beer, raffle, and a informative film and discussion with the producer. Hope to see you there.
