While skateparks across San Jose are beginning to reopen, Lake Cunningham Action Sports Park remains temporarily closed until further notice. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) is beginning a phased approach at reopening park amenities and facilities, and the LCASP staff are working on a plan for reopening with new protocols in place. For more information and updates on the reopening of PRNS parks and amenities, please visit bit.ly/prnsreopens. #SiliconValleyStrong #ReopenSafely

Let’s just say this plan is the GOAT! (Greatest of all time!) Out at Guadalupe Oak Grove, goats have reduced fire "fuel" AKA non-native weeds. Native plants wer...e protected with cages so the goats only ate the surrounding invasive weeds. Now the native plants will receive more sun and water without competition. #goatgrazing #GOAT #BuildingCommunityThroughFun See more

We wanted to remind everyone some San José parks will be closed this weekend. We know that this is traditionally a big holiday weekend where we gather with frie...nds, family and neighbors, but it is important to shelter in place to help flatten the curve. Please use the time this weekend to connect and bond with your family by modifying your traditional holiday activities. Visit http://bit.ly/prnscancellations to view the current list of park closures. See more

There is still a lot we do not know about the new coronavirus including how easily this virus may spread from person to person. We are still learning about this... new virus, but since there is no evidence of person-to-person spread in our community, the risk is low to Santa Clara County residents.
