As the season turns colder more people will be lighting wood stoves and fires. It would be a good idea to check your chimneys or flue pipes for creosote buildup and work to prevent wood smoke from polluting your indoor air quality and damaging your health. The original environmentalists! Let's bring back the Native traditional land management practices that made California the bountiful place it is. Advocate for traditional burning to protect us all from catastrophic fire events exacerbated by short sighted land management practices.

The California Area Indian Health Service has put together a video to help homeowners better understanding and know how to operate & maintain their septic systems in an effort to help protect the health of our tribal communities as well as to maximize the longevity of the systems. They will begin providing this link to homeowners after new construction projects but would really like to get the information out to existing homeowners as well.
