If they grow in pairs or groups it is a pine If they grow as single needles then it is either a spruce or a fir. To tell the difference between a spruce and a fir, roll the needle between your fingers. If it is pointy, flat shaped and doesn’t roll easily then it is a fir, if the needle is square shaped and can be rolled easily between your fingers it is a spruce!
