La Habra ELKS Lodge #2095

The Elks of Oklahoma City lodge were very welcoming. I was even asked by the Esquire if I wanted to stand in as guest Esquire for the meeting tonight.

A different day, a different state, a different lodge.

And the Esquire has gone travelling again.

The Esquire from 2095 made his final ELKS Lodge stop today in Jackson Missouri lodge #2652.

Crossed yet another border, this time the Esquire from 2095 headed to Anna-Jonesboro, Illinois lodge #1641. Not surprisingly, friendly members quite knowledgable about the history of the area.

2095's Esquire is still travelling, this time to the Cape Girardeau, Missouri lodge #639. They have 100 acres of land and a lake.

And he keeps going and going.... After Joplin, MO and Galena, KS, 2095's Esquire headed south across yet another border to visit the Miami, Oklahoma lodge #2311. By the way, according to the locals, the city name is pronounced MY-AM-UH not MY-AM-EEE.

He is still moving. 2095's Esquire crossed the border into Kansas to visit Galena lodge #677. Nobody home today.

Still moving, Today the Esquire from 2095 visited a new lodge with an old number. Joplin, Missouri lodge #501, was destroyed in 2011 by a tornado with four people inside. One of the four that died, Clyde, did so while covering (and therefore saving) his wife.
