PAD AND HOTSPOT DISTRIBUTION 04/15/20 Households that have been identified to have a TK-5 student who needs an iPad and/or a TK-8 student that does not have access to the internet are being invited by phone call to come to the Ocean View School District office on Wednesday, April 15th, from 1-4pm. The address is 4200 Olds Road, next to Ocean View Jr. High. District staff are practicing social distancing and for everyone’s safety, ask that parents/guardians come by car. Parents/guardians, please be prepared to show a form of identification to receive your student tablet and/or hotspot. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday afternoon.

Ok Soooo I miss all your little darling children and I was wondering if any of you would be down for zoom meeting with me and your littles for some cooking lessons? Like how to make a simple lunch or breakfast stuff just as a little way for me to take their minds off of school work and give them something else to look forward too? I just thought it might be fun and it would be like making a sandwich and a bowl of cereal type stuff nothing crazy Idk Just thinking of all of you

The DWOFS team has been working hard to update your school’s private link with not only videos for them to watch and look back on to see different moments from their classes but to also include dance videos for them to practice and follow along to at home! sooooo if any of you want any recipes from what we make at Laguna and the Jr high I have them all memorized and will share them.. just incase your littles are wanting a school day lunch to make them not miss us so much lol

This may come as a surprise but ....we aren’t on a routine. I’m not homeschooling. The younger two have their packets and are completing them when they want to. The older two are doing it when they feel like doing it. The packets are there to keep them busy and challenge their brain but it is nothing new I have to teach them.... We aren’t getting up super early to do it either. Because the truth is, this situation is the pits. They are missing their friends, gym, art, after school activities and I feel like the last thing they need from me is forcing them to do schoolwork for an hour or so when the truth is THEY HAVE ALL DAY! We have made cookies, been outside, played the WII, watched TV more than we probably should and they have been on their phones chatting with friends and I don’t feel bad about it. My house is not a school. It’s a place to feel safe, loved and encouraged...especially during this time. I have given myself a lot of grace during this time and am doing the BEST I can. So for all those asking what our schedule is like? Pretty much anything goes about now Oh and apparently the kitchen is open all day Because if this quarantine has taught me anything it’s that we got all the time in the world right now! U all got this take care
