sana sana, colita de rana si no sanas hoy sanaras manana for many of us, this line has brought us optimism, helped us up when we’ve fallen, inspired our healing, and filled our hearts with comfort when we needed it most. it reminded us that we will be okay and that’s what we hope to bring with this issue. ... as we navigate a world plagued with anxiety and stress, we have to remind ourselves that everything will be okay. that we can find comfort and healing in so many things: in nature, in music, in taking care of our physical and mental health, and most importantly in love; love for others and for ourselves, how you choose to spread that love is entirely up to you. We recognize that the struggles our community is going through are very real and ongoing, and that healing is a never ending process that is not easy, nor is it quick. Our growth as people and as a community never has a destination, and sometimes we can’t find the strength to heal, which is where we turn to each other for help to see the light. Today we are revisiting our fall 2020 issue, Boundaries, to highlight two amazing articles. Both authors focus on the movement of time and how it influences our way of thinking. Jennifer Rosario allows us to step into her relationship with boundaries as she reassures herself, and us, that boundaries create a limit to how much we are willing to share. Sarah Mejia’s article touches on the way that while the days may appear the same, each day brings an opportunity to learn, g...row and reach cultural understanding with our loved ones, especially those who hold different cultural experiences. Happy Week 3! We’re taking a detour from homework and classes to showcase three amazing articles from our previous issues! Isabella Poma’s article, We’re All at a Distance in Sana, Sana, presents us with the current situation of the Covid pandemic and how it has changed students’ school schedules. It has led students to have difficulty retaining information and understanding the material. This has affected students’ mental health, which Poma advises that we should take c...are of not only our body but our mind as well. @isabellap_0604 Up next is an article from our Chief Editor, Angela Vargas! All in a Day’s Work, in Boundaries shows us how important it is to set boundaries between our social and work/school life. During the pandemic, these two have intertwined with each other which has made it harder to distinguish when to set limits for ourselves. Angela gives us her experience with working from home and reassures us that we have control over our time. @__angeluh Last but not least is Espy de La O’s article makes us reflect the little things in our lives that can bring us joy or excitement. Her article, It’s the Little Things in Sana Sana, describes how she began to view the small things as a bridge to finding happiness with oneself. The smallest details will led to bigger things even though we may not see them right away. @espy_delao If you’re interested in reading more about their stories go ahead and click the link in our bio!
