Doing what I love! Ladies if you’re looking for something fun to do, join us at the next Glock West Coast Challenge. We spent the day at Burro Canyon. It’s a beautiful range, you couldn’t have asked for better weather, and our group was amazing. So supportive and helpful. We had a few shooters who had never done this before and I think they are hooked! It’s a great way to use all of the skills that you practice at the range. Their RSO’s are all amazing and so helpful. Tell t...hem you’re new to this and they walk you through step by step. Special shout out to Fabio Spinello! We are hoping the next match is in November like it normally would be. You do not need to be a member of A Girl& A Gun. I would love for Ladies, Lead, & Laughter to have a big group next time in matching t-shirts! You must shoot a Glock. That’s really the only stipulation. That, and have a great time! Another bonus is that you don’t use a ton of ammo. I shot in two groups and only shot about 200 rounds! Are you a new gun owner looking for a beginners course to get you started on a path to becoming a proficient and most importantly safe gun owner? UPDATE: April 18th class is sold out. There is one spot left on April 3rd. We have two upcoming classes for either brand new or slightly new students. This course includes outdoor classroom time as well as live fire training.... April 3rd has one spot available. Class is limited to 6 students for personalized training. We have 1 instructor for every 2 students. Our next class is on April 18th. These classes are open to both men and women however, if you are interested in a class for women only, husband and wife, or significant others, just let us know! We are happy to accommodate you. Ladies! Tomorrow is our event at Hi Desert Rod and Gun Club, 8AM - 10AM. $ 10.00 Range fee We welcome any of you ladies who would like to come join us and learn firearm safety or continue your firearms training!... We hope to see some of there!

We had such a great class today! Except for a little wind it couldn’t have been a nicer day. These four ladies went through all of the safety and fundamentals of using a firearm. They left excited to move on to what’s next. Practice, practice, practice and then the intermediate class. They were all great students and I’m pretty sure some permanent friendships were made today Thank you for making today a great class!

Ladies! Watch this young lady shoot! She is six years old, this is her first official timed Steel Challenge event. I just love that her parents are training her up right!

Are you or someone you know looking for a handgun course that will start you with all of the safety and basics you need to become a responsibly armed citizen? Our next Basic Handgun course is on April 10th at 11am. It is a beginners class for people that are brand new to firearms or have only had a little shooting experience. Our class is held outdoors at the Hi-Desert Rod & Gun Club. The course will cover instruction and hands-on training of the seven handgun fundamentals.... We then move on to dry fire and live fire instruction. The class includes the use of several firearms for you to choose from if you do not own your own. We are strong advocates of "try before you buy". It is important to know what fits you and your needs before you make an investment in a firearm! It is so important now, more than ever, to be capable of protecting yourself and your loved ones.

Ladies! What a GREAT morning at the range! We had 18 ladies at Hi Desert Rod and Gun Club, for our event this morning!... Some of us practiced dry-fire, slow trigger press, while others practiced trigger reset. Everyone practices good firearm safety and has a fun time! We had two Mother’s bring their young daughters today. How wonderful to enjoy time together, while becoming more knowledgable and better trained! Thank you Sue Apostoli, and Barbara Crouse for your Range Safety Officer duties and keeping everyone safe today! We missed you Judy Laffoon. If any of you ladies are interested in learning firearm safety and the fundamentals of shooting come join us at our next event. Handgun Fundamentals classes Due to the governors shut down orders we will not be holding our regular classes in our classroom. We are offering private, one on one classes at the range. Please email Kim at Kim.john7396@gmail for more information!

Since it’s Pimp Your Business Monday on the Rant and Rave page we did just that and we thought we should share that post here too! Ladies, Lead, and Laughter Time to answer some questions and clear up any confusion. ..... We are local! Who we are: We are two women who founded a women’s only shooting group at the Hi-Desert Rod & Gun Club. We meet twice a month at the range. The first Saturday and third Tuesday of each month at 8am. We have Range Safety Officers to ensure everyone’s safety and at least two certified instructors there during these shoots. We have firearms available for you to try if you do not have your own. While it is not possible to give a full lesson during this time we can certainly let brand new shooters see if this is something they would like to follow through with. We are going into our third year with this group and we LOVE doing this. This is our way of giving back to this community. Peggy has lived here all her life and Kim has been here on and off for 40 years. We teach and offer private and group classes. We teach men, women, and children. We offer Basic and Intermediate Handgun. We also offer a class for obtaining your Arizona Non-Resident Concealed Carry License which gives you reciprocity in about 30 other states. We are now also offering a CA CCW prep class. This will prepare you to complete your paperwork and also show you what they will expect you to shoot. Our next Handgun Fundamentals class is on Saturday, December 12th at 11am in Yucca Valley. Range time is held at the Hi Desert Rod & Gun Club. This is a small class limited to 6 students. There is one instructor for every two students. We are all NRA/USCCA Certified Instructors. Already know how to use your firearm and want to get your Ariz...ona Non-Resident CCW? This class will be held on Saturday, December 19th in Yucca Valley at 1pm. This non-resident CCW will give you reciprocity in about 30 states. Please note: this does not give you a California CCW. Does your loved one need to learn how to clean their handgun? This is another great gift idea! Our next gun cleaning class is on Saturday, December 5th at 10am in Yucca Valley. We will supply you with everything you need to clean your firearm and the knowledge to do it!
