We are mid-way through April, which means summer is right around the corner! The first quarter of the year FLEW by, so we have no doubt 85+ degree weather will be here before we know it. ... Are you ready?! More importantly... is your car ready? Getting in a hot car isn't fun, so if you're experiencing any issues with your AC, it's a good idea to get it checked out by a local mechanic soon! There are a few issues that can cause your AC not to work properly, such as leaks in the hoses, pipes or the air-conditioning compressor. Refrigerant allows your AC to work properly, and it operates in a closed-system, so if it is low, there is likely a leak somewhere. EPA regulations forbid releasing refrigerant into the atmosphere, and specialized equipment is required to extract it. This is why it is so important to have a professional handle this part of your vehicle! So, if your AC is blowing warm air rather than cold, or if you hear some unusual noises when it's on, you should have it checked out (preferably before you have to drive home in a hot car!) See more

#storytimewithme I remember when I had my second child (Irving jr) I was a very independent women. I had barely 3 years of marriage and still in the process of how financial things will work for us. My husband proposed that I should stop working and stay at home to take care our 2 kid a at the time. I was like seriously?... I have been working since I was 17 years old. I didn't see my depending 100% on him, and asking him for money to buy my own personal stuff. I disagreed with him, I started searching for a baby sitter to take care my 2 kiddos and I hit a big wall! They charged more than my own salary back then . I didn’t have a choice, I had to agree to stay at home temporarily First few months was ok. SinceI was recovering from my pregnancy I wasn’t thinking so much of going back to work. I had C- section so is was a rough time. Then something inside of me shifted. I enjoyed the time with my kiddos soo much. So I set my mind in finding something that would allow me to work from home and enjoy my kids. You name it, I sold so many things , did it worked ? No at the first or second round BUT then I learned how important it was being Hime with my kids, and that inspired me to keep searching for the best opportunity to work from home. Seeing my kids grow is the best experience as a mom. I cant see myself not being with them at home. Swipe the photos to see them 10 years later. Time goes so fast! . . . . #stayathomemom #momlife #stayhomemom #stayhomemoms #kidsathome #homeschoollife #homeschool #momsofinstagram #momofteens #momoftweengirl #singlemomlife #mom #kidsathome #momsworkingfromhome #parenting #decisionsdecisions #journeyoflife #goforit #yeswecan

Have you ever had a big dream, something that sets your soul on fire but you decide to ignore it. Because you feel that you don’t have what it takes, that you are not good enough to accomplish that. Well I was there once. There was a moment in my life where someone hurt me so much and I gave him permission to treat me the way I didn’t deserve. I was young and without knowledge of what life was about. It was just way before I meet my husband. I tried so hard to get out o...f that situation but I didn’t know how. I didn’t have confidence in myself, I didn’t believe in me, I thought I wasn’t capable of doing something in life and the worst thing is that I was really convinced on that. One morning I woke up feeling empty, lonely and depressed. I went for a walk, spending time alone, God gave me that little light of understanding that something needed to change. Even though back then God was not in my heart yet. God amazing GRACE. To finish the story, I moved out and started a new chapter of my life. I make the DECISION of believing that I was made for more. That I have a purpose in this life and I was here to accomplish it. When I change that mindset new opportunities started to open in my life. If I could back and tell something to my young self. I would say, Girl you just have to believe in yourself and that you are in this earth with a purpose only you can fulfill. When I help women to start their joinery in their car maintenance, I heard this so often when I ask Do you know how to open your car hood? The answer would be No, I’m afraid of opening the car hood and get overwhelmed to see what is inside and don’t know how all those pieces work Sometimes we are so afraid to see what is inside of the hood of our lives. Because we don’t know how some pieces work. But let me tell you something and let’s open the hood of your life together and give you some hints of what is inside : YOU’RE ALREDY L O V E D C H O S E N V A L U E D W O R T H Y B E U T I F U L And that’s all you need to know, now go and chase your dreams! What would you tell your young self? #storytimewithme

We know that many of the moms in this community have children that are either teenagers driving already or soon-to-be teens who will be getting their license in the near future! We wanted to compile the top 5 basic things every teen should know about their car before getting behind the wheel. 1 Their VIN number. This serves as the car’s fingerprint, as no two vehicles in operation have the same VIN.... 2 Their license plate number. 3 The year, make and model of their vehicle. Fluids, parts, and the accessories to repair and maintain your car are all based on these pieces of information, so it should never be forgotten. 4 What their proper tire pressure is. Improperly inflated tires can cause costly repairs and impact the car's performance, so this is important! 5 The main differences in oils, which they should be using and why it matters for their vehicle. Using the wrong oil can result in costly engine damage. These may seem simple, but they are so important for maintenance & safety! Do you have a teen driver?!

Ladies, we were tired of the horror stories.. Women don’t just hate going to the mechanics because we rather stroll through Target. (I mean yes that Target dollar section IS the coolest lol but not that point.) We don’t like it because as soon as we pull up, we can see the mechanics looking at us with evil intentions .... They think because we don’t know much about our car, they can make up a diagnosis for our car and score hundreds of dollars from us on things our car needs. It happens WAY too often and it’s just outright unethical. That’s why my husband and I decided we wanted our auto repair to be a safe haven for women. Simply because #enoughisenough and we deserve better. At our female friendly shop our mechanics are friendly, respectful, & have your best interest in mind, always! We never talk down on you, take our time to explain things so you know what’s going on with your car, show you the problem and how we fixed it AND lay out all of your options and price points. Going to the mechanic doesn’t have to be a headache, and you don’t have to wait on the men in your life to do it for you. So next time you need an oil change, car repair or want to learn the basics of your car- come on by, we got your back! See more

Question for you Have you ever experienced any symptoms from having an air freshener in your car? Earlier this week, we shared a little bit about the chemicals found in common air fresheners. It's pretty upsetting! I stared noticing headaches every time I was in my car, and my daughter began having allergies, too. I had no idea what the issue was! ... One day, I put a new car air freshener in and my headache got worse. So I started researching the ingredients... Right away, I thought to myself... there is NO way I’m going to expose my kids and my family to these synthetic products. This began my journey of looking for an alternative option to have in my car... and it worked! I want to share this journey with you all. I know there are so many mamas in the community who feel the same... there's no need for us to expose our little ones to unnecessary, harmful chemicals. We will be sharing more about this super soon, but in the meantime, have you experienced any symptoms as a result of your air freshener? Comment that below with the symptom!
