July is Parasite Prevention Month! 30% off! Throughout the month of July, all fecal and heartworm testing will be discounted by 30%! The Doctors of Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital stress the importance of parasite prevention year-round. Common parasites for dogs and cats are fleas and ticks, heartworm, and gastrointestinal parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, giardia, and coccidia. Intestinal Parasites and Heartworm - Intestinal parasites and heartworm can cause ...life-threatening illnesses! These parasites are easily detected by performing a fecal exam and a small blood test. We recommend fecal and heartworm tests yearly. Testing allows us to pinpoint which parasites need to be treated in each pet. Heartworm is prevented through a monthly pill or chewable. We carry several options for all types of parasite prevention and our staff members are happy to help you find the right preventative for your pet! Fleas and Ticks - We DO see fleas and ticks year-round in Southern California! Fleas and ticks can be easily prevented by using a monthly preventative. We carry a variety of flea and tick preventatives that make prevention simple and easy! Call our office today to schedule an appointment to get your pets tested and parasite free!

Following along with the ever changing effects of COVID-19, we want to let you know our business hours at Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital will remain the same and we will be staying open. We are also working towards keeping traffic at a minimum within the hospital, as the health and safety of our clients, staff, and pets is our greatest priority. During this time, we will be keeping client presence in the hospital to a bare minimum. As such, we will be changing some of our norm...al protocols for everyone’s safety during this time: 1. A staff member will meet you at your car upon arrival to bring your pet inside for services or examinations. 2. Medication and food delivery to your car. 3. Increased availability for drop-off appointments. 4. We will be charging clients out either at their car with our wireless system or we will be happy to charge clients out over the phone to limit contact. After parking in the parking lot, please call us and one of our staff will be happy to meet you at your car to assist you with your visit. Please call our office with any questions. While we understand these are uncertain times, we are committed to the health and safety of our patients, clients, community, and staff!
