Check out the subtle variegation on this Ficus altissima! Commonly known as the Asian Council Tree, this fast-growing plant is native to Southeast Asia and some of the Pacific Islands. In the wild it often begins its life as an epiphyte, growing off the side of another tree for support. (What a freeloader! Or is it a tree-loader? ) @ La Cienega Nursery

1, 2, 3, or 4? Which Euphorbia lactea ‘Cristata’ is your favorite? Fun fact: Also known as Coral Cactus, Euphorbia lactea ‘Cristata’ is actually two plants in one! Both are euphorbia, but the straight green stalk and the colorful coral-looking part are two distinct plants that live happily together. Note: Like most Euphorbia, the sap of the Euphorbia lactea is toxic, so exercise caution if you live with pets or small children and choose to add a Euphorbia to your collection. @ La Cienega Nursery
