Follow your heart. It is my philosophy for everything I do and why I left my career six years ago to pursue a little dream of mine that I named Lace & Bustle. With the help of some special ladies, we have showered thousands of brides with an experience in our jewel box that is unique & personal becoming everything I envisioned. . Then last year I was blessed with my miracle baby. Something we prayed years for and almost gave up hope of it happeni...ng but God showed us otherwise. From the moment I saw my baby’s sweet face, my whole world changed and my heart started to shift from the store and pull me in another direction. . Fast forward to March of 2020 and as I am having lease renewal talks with our landlord, something told me to wait. A week later Shelter in Place was mandated and we had to close. As much as we would wish for our world to not be in this pandemic, I couldn’t help but see the bigger message. For those 3 months, I got to see my baby grow before my eyes without missing a beat. This moment gave me the most precious gift of time. Time to to reflect & explore other passions of mine that I have been wanting to pursue. And if 2020 has shown me anything, it is that life is too short. . For that reason, I have decided to close Lace & Bustle and follow my heart to the next chapter. As my brides have moved on and continue in writing their story, I am needing to do the same in continuing to write mine. . I am humbled to have been given this opportunity. I am grateful for my angels on earth, especially my husband and loved ones who have cheered me on. For ladies that have helped me make L&B what it is today & friendships made along the way. Thankful for our brides, the hugs, glowing review, and for allowing us to be a part of your story. And I most grateful for a beautiful baby boy who made me his mama and is showing me what truly matters most. . So we will be celebrating all month long at L&B. For every woman who just went for it and follows her heart. From taking that leap of faith to pursue a dream to selecting the perfect dress because she knows she is beautiful. Dear brides & guests, Due to the mandatory Shelter In Place order that goes into effect tonight, we will be temporarily closed March 17th - April 7th. We will be reaching out to our March bridal appointments tomorrow to reschedule for a later date once the order has been lifted. . All of your orders are on schedule and we have made arrangements to receive your gowns and will reach out to you... as they arrive. . As we get ready to open our doors today and welcome our brides, we can’t help but take a moment to acknowledge everything that has been so quickly changing in our community & world. We are praying for all those impacted by Covid-19 and want our guests to know that your safety is our main priority. We are taking extra precautions to ensure that. But more than that, I hope to offer some words of hope during this challenging climate we are experiencing. Fear can have a way of ...being the emotion that comes to the forefront in a time of chaos but love is so much more powerful. So in this moment let love in, let fear go. Take a deep breath. And take another one. Remember the reason you are planning your wedding is because of the strong love between two people. That is what is most important and everything else- all the details will fall into place. It’s a time to care for one another, our neighbors, and our community. We are here to help you in any way we can. This too shall pass and if we all band together, we will come out much stronger and wiser as a nation and as a world.
