SUPPORTS SB 1085 (Skinner), a bill that, among other things, encourages the development of new moderate-income housing units statewide. Specifically, SB 1085 expands the state’s existing density bonus law, which is predominantly only used to build rental housing units, to also include the development of owner-occupied condominium units. Housing stability is vitally important to our state's working families. Our persistent housing crisis and the recent pandemic has only served to worsen the crisis.
