As we head into the weekend, I wanted to share a bit about my emotional experience in Central America photographing sex trafficking survivors. I'm forever grateful to Operation Underground Railroad for welcoming me on their mission, and allowing me to spend some time with these incredibly brave souls. I am forever changed. Class of 2021...Lucy <3 I photographed big sis a couple of years ago when she graduated from high school, and this time it was miss Lucy's turn! We had so much fun exploring the cliffs here in Palos Verdes, California, and I of course had to snap some sister shots too! I always try to grab some images of Mom and/or sister during my senior shoots if I can. It's SO important to get in there Mommas!

I love adding a few black white images for each session. I know they are not everyone's cup of tea, but there's something about the drama and mystery of them that speaks to me. What do you think? Are you a fan of black and white photography, or do you prefer your images in color?

"The future lies before you like a field of falling snow." This year has been incredibly hard for so many, including my own family. My heart hurts for everyone who has lost someone they love this year. I'm desperately hoping that 2021 brings many opportunities for genuine human connection, growth both personally and professionally, and some much needed healing for us all. Goodbye 2020...you will not be missed.

Isn't it crazy how little ones always look like sweet little angels when they are "sleeping", and then half a second later they can be running around like maniacs? Or maybe it's just my children lol? I am grateful for the quiet moments in between the chaos.

"Oh the weather outside is frightful..." Well the weather here in L.A. is actually quite lovely, but this princess was begging for a snow picture. The look on her face when she saw the final image was worth the hours of editing. Thank you Anna Triant Couture for this stunning gown! Are you lucky enough to get snow where you live? It always looks so pretty, but I don't think I'd survive living in it!

This winter has looked a bit different for me here in L.A. There are no bright colored fall leaves, no frost on the grass, and pretty much no signs of a change in season. Sometimes I miss my old neighborhood, but then I get to shoot in locations like these in the 70 degree weather, and I can't help but feel grateful.

It’s so much fun watching the personality and joy show up on camera when I let my subjects play around on set. I am a kind of a spazz myself, and I think that really makes my clients feel comfortable being totally themselves. Your only job is to be 100% authentically you! Have an awesome Wednesday friends

Even though I know this is chalk, all I see is cotton candy and it keeps making my mouth water! It was such a mess, but so much fun with miss Kam.

Just close your eyes, feel the warm sun your face, and breathe. For me, the beach is my happy place and where I go to recharge my soul. Who else loves the sound of the ocean?

I normally do model calls at the beginning of each year, but with the recent move to L.A. I have decided to open it up a bit early. I am looking for models (both male & female) ages 6 and older who are interested in working with me on any projects that I have come up through the end of the year. I adore working with dancers as I'm sure you can tell, but that is not a requirement to work with me. You must be willing to travel to me in the Palos Verdes, CA (and surrounding) ar...ea. Models are compensated for their time with a minimum of 2 fully edited digital images. If interested in submitting, comment below with an image of your child (you if you are submitting for yourself), age, typical size in clothing, and any special skills or things you think I should know. I had such an awesome time with this darling family before I left for L.A. They finally got a sweet baby boy after three girls, and he really couldn't be any cuter could he? Thank you so much for spending time with me despite the heat wave. Tiffany Kolodge
