The TAY Center is having a Halloween Party! It’s on Friday, October 30,2020 from 1pm to 5pm, and it is open to youth ages 16 to 24. If you’re interested or know of anyone who might be interested please contact Jairi Martinez (@kvtay_jairi) by phone at (559) 203-2818 to RSVP. Due to CDC Guidelines we have a limit on how many people can attend so it is required to RSVP by the 23rd of October. We hope to see some of y’all soon!

Every life has chapters. Sometimes our chapters span years. And sometimes it feels like we live an entire year in the passing of a single day. And sometimes the chapter, the day, the year, or the times are hard and leave you stressed out of your mind, or emotional, or unsure with how to go forward. It’s hard, not only for those living it, but those loving those who are in the thick of it. Times are going to be hard. At some point, the good will feel lightyears away and the hard will feel impossibly present. Whatever you do, don’t make what’s hard any harder than it needs to be. You can do this by welcoming the hard and working to overcome what is hard. Some days it will be easy to overcome and others it will be cumbersome. All we can do is take it one step at a time and remind ourselves that it gets better.

As far as you have the spirit of life in you it’s worth celebrating, if you have at least one trustworthy friend it’s worth celebrating, if you have your family with you its worth celebrating, if you are living your life as you want to live then its worth celebrating ~Unknown... At the TAY Center, we like to celebrate and highlight the little accomplishments that our youth have accomplished because those are the things that matter. We learned how to make this piñata, a staple at any fiesta, that is sure to rile up any child because who doesn’t like mouthwatering pizza stuffed with delicious candy! In the future, we hope to teach our youth how to create fun and eccentric piñatas they can use to celebrate any of life’s accomplishments, no matter how big or small. School is officially back in session. We know it is a stressful time for our youth and their parents to start the new year. Our Youth Empowerment Centers program is here to help by offering virtual support groups that cover topics like stress management, coping tools, anxiety, and other topics focused on our youth's wellbeing.
