Here’s a little throwback to when I thought I was going to be a Paramedic/Firefighter. Little known fact about myself, after I left the University of Oregon, I asked my Dad on the drive back home if you could do it all over again, what would you do?. He said that he would be a firefighter. I started to look into the benefits, the pay, and the lifestyle of a firefighter and was sold. At the time, I was positive that this was what I was going to do for the rest of my life. Th...is photo was taken on my first day of EMT school in the summer of 2015. I was taking classes at Sierra Community College in Rocklin about an hour away from my parents place in Sacramento. I finished 2nd in my class and received my EMT license by the end of the summer. Heading into the fall semester I was about to start the Firefighter academy in Northern California. There was only one problem, I knew if I started in the academy in NorCal, I would start to grow my network around that area. I always wanted to live in Southern California and I knew that I wouldn’t be able to transfer to a SoCal station until I had several years of experience under my belt. I was given the opportunity to move down to LA through modeling and I took it immediately. My thought was if I truly wanted to be a firefighter I could always pursue it in Los Angeles.
