KRQR the Bay Area Rocker

After the Helicopter crash that took the lives of Bill Graham, Melissa Gold and Steve Kahn, Carlos Santana graciously consented to be a guest on the KRQR the Bay Area Rocker Morning Show this day in 1991 on KRQR. Lobster had invited him and it was cathartic for our listeners as well.

The Earthquake struck, KCBS and KRQR, the only 2 owned and operated radio stations ran on generator power from the 32nd Floor. At 6 AM the CBS Network HQ NY let us switch from simulcasting the news on AM and KRQR helped our recovery.
