Fall Rush is finally here!

For the THIRD consecutive quarter, the brothers of Sigma Nu have maintained the highest collective GPA among all other IFC organizations! We could not be more proud and appreciative of the work all of our brothers put into their academic endeavors. This is truly an incredible feat. Keep up the great work gentlemen!

Come out to Mission Plaza today from 11 AM to 2 PM in support of the 7th annual Sigma Nu Ducky Derby where we will be racing plastic ducks down the creek! Participants can buy a duck from any member of Sigma Nu or at Mission Plaza today prior to the beginning of the race. Ducks cost $5 each. The top finishers win prizes. All proceeds go towards Jack's Helping Hand, a nonprofit organization that serves to help children with cancer right here in San Luis Obispo. Hope to see everyone there!

Our intra-chapter scholarships encourage brothers to continue to strive for excellence and have helped us attain the highest GPA in IFC for the previous two quarters! We have exciting news! The Kappa Pi chapter of Sigma Nu led all other Cal Poly IFC organizations with a 3.25 GPA for the 2016 spring quarter! Our chapter would like to thank all of our brothers who worked endlessly to invest in themselves via academic rigor and success. We could not be more proud, and know our dedication to excellence both in and out of the classroom will continue. We would also like to thank all of our parents, supporters, and alumni for their endless encouragement throughout the years, and look forward for many more years to come. Congrats gentlemen!

The Kappa Pi chapter of Sigma Nu would like to say thank you to all the fathers (and respective father figures) who have played a role in raising each one of us into the gentlemen we are today. All your sacrifices, hard work, and love do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Our organization would not hold so many exceptional young men if it were not for you all. Happy Father's Day!

It has been an exciting past few weeks for the Kappa Pi chapter of Sigma Nu. We have recently received news that Sigma Nu has earned the highest aggregate GPA among all IFC organizations on campus for the previous winter quarter. We take great pride in this feat and accredit this to all our brothers who work endlessly to obtain the best education possible. Additionally, we have been informed that we have been voted by the Cal Poly community as "Mustang News Poly Picks Best Fraternity of the Year". We are grateful to the Mustang News, and the university as a whole for bestowing us with this amazing honor. The men of Sigma Nu will continue to work hard and embody our values of Love, Truth, and Honor in everything we do.

On Saturday, April 23rd, the men of Sigma Nu hosted our 2nd Annual "Turn the Tables (on Sexual Assault)" philanthropy event. This event invites members from each sorority on campus to come and paint tables with designs of their choosing related to sexual assault. For this event we partnered with Cal Poly Safer and RISE: a non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention and treatment services to survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence and their loved ones. We would like to send a huge thank you to all who participated and our philanthropy chairman Luke Brown for making this event so successful!
