Here's how to save $800 if you have an old car that uses a real key - especially old Mercedes: Put the ignition/door key on a separate keychain, alone. The weight of your keys, swinging back and forth, will eventually screw up the ignition key assembly. Also, shoot a little graphite lube in the slot. ... And: take your time when inserting your key.
