Just posted on the SJFF website - a short Q&A with filmmaker Yuriko Romer, who is coming to the screening of Be Strong, Be Gentle, Be Beautiful at the Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church on January 25. http://sacjapanesefilmfestival.net/

Starting Tuesday evening, the Center will also be home to Happokaze Budo -- a Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido group led by Benjamin Greve Sensei. Classes will us...e either iai-tou (specialized iaido swords) or bokken during practice. Classes will be on TUE. and THU. evenings from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM -- more details to follow. Please welcome Greve Sensei and his group to the Center. We look forwards to energetic training with our friends.

Chico Kodenkan started under the name of The Chico J...udo and Jujitsu Acadamy in 1939 by AJJF Co-Founder, Professor Bud Estes. Our name changed to Chico Kodenkan in February of 1978 when we moved to another building in Downtown Chico. We hope that you will join us to celebrate a long tradition of Kokua and Ohana at our dojo this year. We look forward to hosting you and your students at our dojo. This is an AJJF Sanctioned event.
