Each year, parishioners at Our Lady of Refuge in Long Beach create a Prayer Ribbon Wall in the month of November to honor their beloved dead. Names are printe...d on the ribbons and hung as a reminder to pray for their souls. This outdoor Prayer Ribbon Wall is a beautiful, very visual sign of the usual tradition of inscribing names in a book. Since we are not in the church building at this time, the outdoor wall is timely, says Fr. Gerard O’Brien, pastor.
