Are you a civic-minded Orange County resident who would like to ensure that the performance of county, city, and other local agencies is proper and ethical? Are you interested in improving our local government and helping to ensure that our tax dollars are spent wisely? Would you like to participate in indictments for serious crimes? The application period for the 2021-2022 Grand Jury is now open. The only requirements are proof of U.S. Citizenship, Orange County residency... for at least a year, fluency in English and possession of sound judgement. A stipend of $50 a day plus mileage will be paid to each Orange County Grand Juror. Early Easter morning, a series of explosions targeting Catholic churches and hotels popular with tourists took place across Sri Lanka. At least 207 people were ...tragically killed, and many hundreds more injured, according to news reports. We condemn these attacks of terrorism against innocent people celebrating one of our faith's holiest days. Please join me in praying for the victims, survivors and their families. May we also pray for that God touches the hearts of those responsible for these evil acts and that acts of violence against people of faith come to an end. See more
