An epic week!! Closing in on an idea that came to me 2.5 years ago that never left my brain. Kept churning it over and over, not knowing what to do with it or... what it meant. Would come to me randomly on any given day. At first the idea comes as one key moment with specific imagery, two characters, in the middle of something with something about to happen. Then you work backwards trying to figure out how they got there. Then forwards, trying to figure out what happens after that. No judgment of the characters, just existing. I call this the juice scene the scene that wont quit, keeps on rattling. It has truth, meaning, and is usually a reaction to the current zeitgeist. (Possibly what you’re pissed off about) As a writer and artist, the job is to honor and protect this seed. Let it be what is already there a fossil in the sand waiting be discovered.
