This was a few years ago in the yard at our Nalo house. It was Bubba's first in-yard rat kill and he wanted to hang on to his trophy for a while. I finally managed to bribe him with a cookie to let me have it. He has turned out to be a very efficient hunter and does not give up once he sniffs out a rat, good job Bub's.
Fireworks are a serious problem for animal owners and those in the animal industries.
Hi folks, just an update as of 8/9/19. As you know we are moving to the mainland this fall. As previously mentioned we will keep this page KHCA active even after we move. However, for those of you that were on the private group Barn Hunt Hawaii that page has been shut down. We will keep you posted on our progress. Aloha and Mahalo, Ron n Robyn.
As most people know Robyn and I are moving to the west coast this summer. Therefore we have to divest the majority of our dog training equipment. First thing we need to move out is the Funnel, part tunnel and part agility riser, it was only used a few times, I have $200+ invested in materials, will let it go for best offer, but ya gotta haul it away (consists of 3-6ft pcs and the riser stand. This is great fun for terriers or doxies and it has windows so you can see the dog going through. LMK if interested. Ron England.
Water sports for you dog, with this hot weather I am sure many dogs would enjoy this cool sport!
In the nose work world we call that a hook. The smell hooked the dogs nose and his response was to immediately investigate. Good Dog! But have to wonder what was in that carry on suitcase.
We get a lot of these Dog Butt shots! Winne checking out a BH tube
Something to keep in mind when you are out and about!
Today we must also remember to salute the Dogs of War who serve side by side with our military men and women.
A dogs nose never lies, this is a very good use for the canine scenting capabilities to help protect the environment. Also glad to note the DOA & USDA are working together to train and use snake detection dogs to prevent the Brown Tree Snake from becoming established in Hawaii.
Start their training young. We did the same thing with our terrier puppies except it was an earth dog tunnel that ran from the deck to the ground and the only way up or down was via the tunnel.
Chasing a lure, what great fun for the dogs.
