What types of embroidery threads do we use? Firstly, machine embroidery threads are vastly different from sewing threads for normal sewing machines or the thick cross stitch embroidery threads, in that embroidery threads are constructed of different thickness and formulas for embroidery in commercial embroidery machines. After testing many different types of threads from around the world, Kim's Embroidery predominantly uses Madeira Polyneon embroidery thread or Madeira rayon ...thread which eliminates looping, puckering, and is suitable for almost any application. Madeira 100% polyester embroidery Polyneon uses unique formula making the thread extremely durable and smooth running. While the Madeira rayon threads are very smooth and silky, the final embroidered product looks radiant with a lustrous color, while also being durable and long lasting. We will not settle for cheap threads commonly found on the market as those threads absolutely contribute to the poor quality of the embroidery design.
