About St. Patrick: Saint Patrick was a former slave sold as a teenager. During his 6 years as a slave, he converted to Christianity. He earned a reputation as a... fervent Evangelist. He later escaped and fled Ireland. He entered into Theological training. One night, God spoke to Patrick in a dream about returning to Ireland which was full of paganism and idolatry. He would serve as a Missionary to the Irish people. He helped many come out of paganism and converted them to Christianity. Ireland was considered hopeless by many clergy at the time.
