A sensory diet is a plan of specific sensory acitivities that help you to remain at the just right level. Sensory diets help children maintain focused attention throughout a long day on line studying and when they start to feel out-of-sync. The state association recognizes Stephanie's significant contributions to the advencement of the Practice of Occupational Therapy. This was awarded on October 8, 2020 by a virtual conference. Just wanted to share bad & good news. I own a small pediatric private practice and work out of my home. At the beginning of the pandemic, I learned how to use Zoom, and saw a lot of kiddos on-line. I started offering inperson services again 4 weeks ago. Today, one of my family members caught a cold (Yes, people still just catch colds these days.) I alerted my families of the sitatuion. I am thrilled to report that tomorrow, 50% of my caseload decided to come see me anyways, and the other 50% will be seen by Zoom. I would never have been tis flexible or adaptable prior to the pandemic. Hang in there!! There is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow, even if the rainbow is coming despite a big storm!!

Kid's Work is now providing yoga therapy as part of the Telehealth OT services. During this current health crisis, we are concerned with keeping our immune system strong. I'm sharing with you a 5 pose series that helps our immune systems be strong.

It's amazing to me how timely this book's completion is now. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and current "Stay at Home" requirements, this is a great time to read this book. I included 60+ a...ctivities that you can do easily, simply, and inexpensively from home. Where possible, I recommend easy adaptations. This book centers on one of my passions: a non-medication approach to helping children pay attention and learn. I plan to gift this book to all my current clients, as they are having to think creatively on how to meet their child's sensory needs within their homes and backyards. This is a wonderful resource for all parents, trying to keep their children active, learning, and relaxed at home.
