Great news we have the fishing event dates and the Robert Orlando Memorial Kids Fishing Derby flier ready and will post today. Please pass it on! I am working on opening up pre-registration for special needs on the web page www.kidsdayoffishing.org for the Fairfield event, it can also be printed out and sent in to me by mail, but we prefer online registration. Earth Day will not be a part of our event we are the soul vender and the City of Fairfield will be our event co-spons...or and the Kiwanis Club of Fairfield is our event co-host service group. Event dates are The Robert Orlando Memorial Kids Fishing Derby is Saturday April 18th Info is on the flier and will be posted to our web page www.kidsdayoffishing.org The Travis AFB Kids Fishing Derby will be Saturday May 9th the information will be posted and sign up will be with Travis AFB youth services. Info posted soon as they provide it to us. Lake Solano Kids Day of Fishing will be Saturday June 20th flier and info will be posted soon. We have a open position in our executive group interested contact me. We will also be having our 2nd Robert Orlando Golf Tournament fund raiser date not set yet. Also assisting the United Methodist Men's Group with their Fish Fry Fundraiser helping benefit KDOF and other youth programs.

Back from San Diego the Bluefin Tuna bite is still active. Our boat had fare action fish from 100 to 175lb class. Lots of other boats came in with super cows up... to 300 pounds plus. Meet up with some great folks love big cow fishing. Beats you down but the reward is lots of fresh great tasting Bluefin tuna. We picked up a good mix of other fish to. Hello all KDOF has had to announce this season of events to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 Virus a letter has been sent out to all sponsors, supporters and members. The DR has printed this add and press release for us THANK YOU DR. Here is a copy of all posted for the public next year we plan to come out strong supporting our youth and families. LETS GO 2021

Well today was the day Robert Orlando Memorial Kids Fishing Derby 2020. Kind of cold but no wind but always a great day. A day that will come as we clime to the top and reopen our communities to be able to get back together and fish anouther day. The date will be announced as soon as we can. Hello all is time for a Notice on the Corona Virus concerning our program events and dates. I have been working with the City of Fairfield and they have not warned us to this date of changes. I am posting this notice for information only not a panic advise. We are all fine and working hard to order and prepare for the upcoming events. Notice on the Corona Virus : KDOF The State of California has issued a order to cancel all events over 250 participants. Effective to the end o...f March. Our events start mid April thru July we have not been notified by the City of Fairfield nor the State of California to cancel or postpone the events to later dates. At this time we are on schedule and working to complete the preparation for all 3 events and fundraiser. This could change and we would notify the public and our supporters of any changes to our plans. Please do not let this stop us from moving forward with the program. Sponsorship, supporters and membership is a key to keep things going smoothly and maintain the program. We believe this will become under full control and we all will return to our normal daily and community duties. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT..
